A DOCUMENTARY FILM FESTIVAL "FILMER A TOUT PRIX"
This
festival, organised
by Gsara, is a must for anyone
interested in documentary films
in Belgium. Over
a hundred films will be presented, including films from the formal competition and others out of it. The whole
selection represents a
multiplicity of approaches
to writing and directing films about the realities of life.
After a breakgap of a year,
a brand-new dynamic team is in place.
A second innovation is that the festival has moved: it will take place at the Flagey centre for six days, before moving around town to the Bozar Cinema, the Cinematek and the Espace Magh. Out of town, the Cultural Centres of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, keen on extending the festival’s reach, will present some of the award-winning films. This rich and varied festival will appeal as much to a broad public as to the most demanding and discerning audiences. With a special awareness of the role of documentaries as expressions of protest, the 14th edition will be vital and unrelenting, pulling no punches.
